Changchai Co., Ltd. predecessor of Changchai, established in 1913, was one of the earliest internal-combustion engine manufacturers in China. Since established, the Changchai people has showed their great ambitions to develop the industry and save the nation through hard working, from the first 8HP kerosene engine to later "Jiuxing" brand diesel engine, then to the S195_the first self-developed single-cylinder diesel engine; from golden medal in 1929 West Lake Expo to later National Product golden medal in 1980, Changchai people ceaselessly created new wonders through their hard working and made their achievements become the milestones in Chinese small engine industry.
Through hundred year's development, the company has an annual capacity of 1,200,000 engines. Changchai has produced over 20 million diesel engines till now. For single-cylinder engine, the company has the NO.1 market share in domestic market. The products has been exported to 78 countries and regions.
We have consecutively developed a series of differentiated single cylinder products with market competitive advantages, as well as the new high technology multi cylinder machines like 4D28TC, and 4B28TCI which have reached the Euro III. Therefore, Changchai has taken a great step toward automobile field and has developed the off-road engines such as 3LS30, 3LS35, etc. Until now, Changchai has gained almost 10 national authorized patents, and more than 500 scientific research results and the "four news" projects. Nearly dozens of engine models of multi cylinder diesel series designed by Changchai already have got the permit to the European and American markets. Meanwhile, Changchai has already become the OEM of many automobile companies like Dongfeng Automobile, FAW Jinbei, Foton, Guangdong Fudi, etc and also provide off-road engines to YTO group and Changzhou Dongfeng agricultural machinery group.
In addition, on the basis of focusing on both the single cylinder and the multi cylinder engines, Changchai also actively involves in end-product manufacturing and successively developed products such as combine harvesters, pumpsets, Gen-sets and so on.
